RIP JD Salinger
So sad that one of my favorite authors passed away today!
I devoured all of his books, loving Catcher in Rye most of all. I was so sad that more were never published

My favourite too. I posted a link on NFR with a CNN article before I saw this.
I am really interested to see how much writing of his will be released now. I read somewhere a few years ago that he had a lot and he wanted it published after he died. I hope they DON'T make any movies...

Me too!
After I read Catcher in the Rye, I read his other books--and was so sad he didn't publish more.
I have read Catcher in the Rye about 5 or 6 times in my life. First in middle school and each time I have read it --it has changed for me as I have gotten older and a gained a different perspective on life--I might be due for a read
