Robert Moses Beach
Do they have a board walk?
I looked online and didn't see anything about one. I know Long Beach and Jones Beach have them.

Re: Robert Moses Beach
yes.. but not like Jones. They run the length of the field with the Concession stands toward the middle. It isn't a long walk.
Love Robert Moses.

Not long at all. Can't even compare to Jones Beach. And if I can recall correctly, not all fields have an actual boardwalk.
Doesn't matter though.... RM is a GREAT beach... I prefer it over any other.

Re: Robert Moses Beach
The whole beach is only about 6-7 miles and it is cut into 5 fields.. so those with boardwalks are not terribly long. If you are looking for a long walk you might want to walk from field 2 to field 5 and back on the shore.. that's a good 12 miles at least.
The longest segment of boardwalk down there is probably the one that goes to the lighthouse... but I have no good guess as to HOW long that is.. maybe half a mile - 3/4 of a mile?

And if you DO decide to walk from 2-5, just remember that somewhere in there is a nude beach!... so have your sunglasses ready!!!

Re: Robert Moses Beach
Thanks every one.
I looked it up again and found no real answer. It just keeps talking about it.
On google maps I see the one to the light house. With all the turns it might be about a mile.
I'm looking to form a walking group and looking for nice loops. Sunday I did Long Beach and last night I did Jones Beach.

The one by the light house is quite nice! There is a really nice path out in Montauk. It is grassy and goes out to the seal watching site. No seals this time of year, but, it takes you on the beach and up through a grassy path. It's a bit more of a challange than a boardwalk.. but, you need to wear long pants and stuff for ticks.
