Anyone have one? Do they work and are they worth it?

We do. It's good for day to day upkeep but it doesn't replace a regular vacuum imo. You just have to use it a lot less.

I never understood the concept of this. I mean, vacuuming isn't really that difficult or time consuming. I guess if you live in a huge house...I dunno. Now an automatic bathroom scrubber or laundry folder..I'm in

i love our roomba- we have it run 3x/week while we are at work. It occasionally gets stuck under our bed because it isn't high enough, but I think you can buy an invisible fence to tell the roomba not to go there

My mom loves hers because they have two dogs and she had both knees replaced. It keeps up with the dog hair. She also put googly eyes on it, so it's fairly entertaining to watch!

I want to get one. But the story about a guy who ran his Roomba and it spread dog poop all over his house is stuck in my head. It would help me out so much though.

We have one mostly to combat the dog fur (we have a Siberian husky). It cleans enough so I only have to vacuum every 2 weeks.

You need to get two of them, so they can battle!

Re: Robot Vacuum?
I have one, it works great in the kitchen but when it gets to my living room, it gets stuck behind chairs, has a hard time transitioning from area rug to floor. I'm not a huge fan.

Re: Robot Vacuum?
It definitely helps with cleaning under beds, furniture, etc. However, I agree with another poster that it is annoying when it gets stuck under some things (ie: couch, low rise furniture). I would recommend it as a adjunct to the vacuum. (I have fairly large house).

Whenever I read or see anything about Roombas, I just remember back to the letter/post from the person with the roomba and dog poop.

I don't but there's a knock off roomba with great reviews as Amazon's deal of the day today.

We love our Roomba. We have it go off everynight around 11. It does my living room and Kitchen. It does sometimes get stuck, but we know how to move everything now lol. I would get stuck by the entertainment cent and rug, We just have to keep the rug closer to the TV STAND. It def cuts down on my vacuuming, but I still vacuum.

Does it work on floors or just rugs?

This exactly. It eliminates the day-to-day dust and crumbs that happen. I loooove mine. I still use my regular vacuum on the weekends, but it keeps my house tidy during the week.
