Rock Band
Lets dicuss.
My name is K, and I'm addicted to Rock Band. DH and I just bought a new home, but felt it necessary to go out and buy Xbox and Rock band for our entertainment pleasure....b/c I guess that was more important than...furniture?
We are addicted.
Anyone else?

Re: Rock Band
I got it for DH for Christmas and I love it! I told my hubby that we need to buy a house so we have more room to play it.

Re: Rock Band
My name is Melissa and I'm beyond addicted to rock band---there are no words.
My friend and I created a band and did the world tour, and finished the game. It took a few weeks, including playing for 12 hours STRAIGHT one day. (You need 500 stars to be asked to play the Rock n Roll hall of fame--then 600 for the endless setllist--we have to tackle that now.
The only complaint I have on the game is the limited # of fans you can achieve at certain levels. Some people can't play hard and expert---so if your other band members can only do up to medium--you will be locked out of many venues on the Band World Tour. My friend has been working her way up to hard on the drums and doing good---I'm tackling expert on the guitar now!

Re: Rock Band
I'm still trying to figure out why DH and I aren't addicted yet...we haven't even opened the drum set! I think this has to do with the fact that we've been playing Guitar Hero for so long.
But it is soooo much fun when he plays guitar and I sing...or we trade off guitar/bass. We just finished the medium level -all 5 stars - with our band.
We'll probably break out the drums when my family comes to visit- my nephew and brother in law are big fans.
My complaint is that the songs really aren't meant for a voice like mine. To be expected of course! The only songs I really sound good on are Wanted Dead or Alive and Long Time by Boston. I need a higher range!

Re: Rock Band
OMG you must, must crack out that drum set! The drummer is always a part of our band. DH and I rotate...we usually start with drummer/guitar, and then move to drummer/singer (with both of us rotating postions).
I agree with the previous poster. We've almost leveled out with the fan base. We're attempting songs on hard when we're not ready for it, and loosing fans. We gain stars, but the fan base really hasn't increased since we opened Empire Sq Garden.
As for songs not in the range, have you tried:
Brass In Pocket Learn to Fly Maps Creep Dont Fear the Reaper Orange Crush
These songs are little less Ozzy, little more popish.
We're rockin out this Friday night with my bro, who is also addicted. I'm counting down the hours. It's fun to play with the "full" band, instead of DH and I switching instruments.

GET OUT! Where is Brass in Pocket? I've never seen it!! Do you have to download it?
Oh I forgot about Creep...love the song but still doesn't sit in that part of my range that I like to sing in. The songs where I can really rock out and feel like a 'singer' are the ones I mentioned. I need more hair band songs that I can belt out! They need to add some Heart songs too!
oops I forgot to mention my fave- Are You Gonna Be My Girl. It was funny- last time I played it, I was guitar and my SIX year old niece sang! It was toooo funny hearing her sing it- and she did good!!

What game system do you have? We actually had PS2, but the at the advice of my bro (a self proclaimed gamer ), he recommended we buy XBOX so we can dowload all the songs.
Enter Sandman might be in your key. And as a Yankee fan, how could you not love it. Brutal on drums and guitar, but fun to belt out!
