Romper Room in Williston Park

Hello!

I was wondering if any can provide feedback about Romper Room? I am considering sending my son in the Fall but don't know anyone who has gone there before. Would love to hear any stories.

Thx!

Re: Romper Room in Williston Park

Both my nephew and niece went there. I dont have any real feedback, but I guess my SIL must have liked it to send both kids there.

Romper Room in Williston Park

they have no playground or outdoor area to play. a friend sent her son there. He was crying everyday at drop off and kept trying to leave the room. The staff took him out on "walks" without the mother's consent - the roads around it are extremely busy so in my opinion that was very irresponsible

Re: Romper Room in Williston Park

We were also looking at Romper Room for DD for nursery school. There were pros and cons when I went
-I just stopped by and the security to get in was great - buzzer/door locked/cameras ect..
-They gave me a tour right there and then - I was escorted around with the receptionist and shown all the rooms - I thought it was great that I went unannounced and they were ready right there and then.
-The director of the program met with me for almost an hour to describe their entire program (again I showed up unannounced)
-I did not like that it seemed they had a lot of field trips during the school year - hicks farm/fire house/police station/ect... - some might look at this as a plus but it makes me nervous that DD is so young and will be going on a bus to such busy places during holiday times ect....
-there is no outdoor play area so they walk to a nearby park - I was not a fan of this as well - romper room is on a very busy road way - again maybe I am being paranoid but it makes me nervous
-love their academics - numbers/letters/science/math/second language/monthly cooking activity ect....thought they promoted the basic learning building skills plus creativity
-it is very expensive (in my opinion) -their prices are on the website
-all teachers are CPR certified

If you have any other specific questions feel free to FM me.
