I watched the first 3 episodes and thought it was horrible. The original was so funny. The reboot was just dry and depressing. I won't be missing it.

I was wondering when they'd start pulling the originals too. She's always been a trainwreck of an asshole and she never learns. With age does not come wisdom. Sad part is I knew she would eventually kill the second run with her antics, just didn't think it would come so soon after they announced it was picked up for another season. It amazes me how stupid people can STILL be risking their professional life, especially with the heightened awareness these days. I hope Paula Deen 2.0 fades away for good now. Sucks for the rest of the cast and crew who lost their jobs and relied on their syndication royalties for income.

They had already renewed it...it was doing great ratings wise.

Roseanne reboot cancelled
I’ve seen people hoping another network will pick up the show since it was doing well in the ratings, but I wonder how many cast members would want to return - I’m guessing not 2 of her “kids” since Roseann was mildly bashing them on Twitter for speaking out against her tweet.

As a side note..... theoretically speaking, couldn't ABC just remove Roseanne and rework the show with the same cast as a spinoff called The Conners if everyone was willing to return? Dan and Jackie were the whole show anyway. That way the rest of the cast and crew aren't punished for her disgusting behavior and she's never mentioned again and gets completely cut off. The remake was a hit for the network and the writers had literally just returned to work on next season yesterday when she went on her tirade. These people worked hard to rebuild the original set down to the smallest details. Such a shame. She killed off the character of Dan in the original run so why can't they just kill off the character of Roseanne this time around and move forward? They could say the addiction to pain meds killed her and let it serve as a PSA. Or they could delete her completely like she never existed so she never gets mentioned again (some shows do that). Doesn't the production company own the rights to the show and license it to ABC or am I wrong? Could she sue for ownership rights beyond just the title character?
