rough patches of skin on face--what do you think it is?
DS has a slight case of cradle cap. the doctor gave him a prescription cream to put on it, but it's not working. i'm doing better with just EVOO and a brush.
he also has 2 small patches of rough skin on his forehead and one on his cheek. they are not flaking like the cradle cap on his head.
i have his 4 month appt next tuesday so i was going to wait until then to mention it to the doctor. he had those patches on his face at the 3 month appt but they were less rough and less noticeable. i don't know if the doctor noticed them or not.
do you think it's cradle cap? is there anything serious it could be that i shouldn't wait until next tuesday? he doesn't seem to notice it at all so i don't think it's itchy or hurting. i also tried aquaphor on it and it's not helping.

I would wait until the appt.
Try Aquaphor or Triple Paste until then.

I agree, it could be eczema...
I would wait for the scheduled doctors appt if it doesn't seem to be bothering him...
This happened to DD#1 when she was an infant...
We used Gentle Naturals Eczema wash - it helped...
Also, we decreased the amount of baths she got from every day to every other day - that also helped....

can i get that wash at like a CVS?
he only gets a bath every other day. and as soon as i wash his face (water only) i dry it with the towel so he's not cold.
thanks for the responses so far!

Sounds like eczema. I agree with the Aquafor.

I have an ezcema baby here.......not as bad as some but still he has dry rough patches onhis arms, legs & cheeks.
Aquaphor is helping! I put it on his body when I dress him in his jammies.......it is slimy!!! Since DS sleeps through the night, once I finish nursing him, I swaddle him then put a dab on his cheeks. It helps!
