How early on did you establish a routine, if at all? And I don't mean just feedings - but "storytime", naptime, baths, etc. I feel like we just wing it...it seems to be working ok for us, but I feel like by now maybe I should have some sort of routine.

Re: Routines

At about 3 -4 months i started. Alot of times i am out during the day. I try and keep my days busy with outings, usually in the afternoon..the mornings are spent 1st at around 6:30-7am we bring both girls into our bed so my DH and I could play with them. Then they get tired around 8:30-9am so i put them down for a nap. When they wake i usually put them in their saucers, then belly and back time, and their walkie things and of course while they are in their stuff i put on an einstein. The videos give me a chance to clean up and get dressed.

My girls are in bed by 6:30pm so i try and stay out until at least 5pm, then I feed them 1st and then bath and then bed. Oh i also work PT so they spend 1 day at my mothers, I have a babysitter one day and my DH watches them on the other day..so they have different routines with them...The only thing that stays the same is the Bed Time and eating schedule.

I guess you just have to find out what works best for you.

Re: Routines

We had a routine in terms of feeding, bath, activity from the very beginning... it made our lives easier to be able to predict when we needed to get things done. They are still young so each day they are becoming more awake and more time is spent wtih activity and less with sleeping during the day.

Re: Routines

I have a bedtime routine starting at around 9 weeks. Seemed to help them understand it was bedtime. I still have no naptime routine, but i am going to start that in the next couple of weeks.

We've had a bedtime & morning routine since about 4 weeks but nothing really during the day.
