I hate the "tradition" of presenting the baby and such hours after birth - I understand they have a certain appearance to keep up but come on!

You are able to discharge yourself after birth anytime. You just have to sign AMA papers.

And she had a blowout, makeup artist, and stylist tending to her!

The UK residents pay taxes for this family. This is in addition to paying taxes for politicians. If they don’t give an appearance, then there will be a problem. They are probably the last real monarchy.

Ugh! Lucky! I had a shared room and it was awful. I stayed 2 nights because I didn't know to do otherwise and DD did not pass her first hearing test so they wanted to try again the next day, but I wish I would've just gone home. The second morning I woke up, got showered, dressed, and refused to sit down until they discharged me. Also because it hurt to sit. 
She looks fabulous though- even after tending to myself, I looked like a hobo. And Charlotte is just too cute- quite the princess. They said she started waving as soon as she got out of the car and didn't stop til they got inside.
