Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas
Has anyone been on this cruise? Please tell me the positives and negatives.
I saw on cruisecritic that many people think the food is bad and also the service, that you can never get room service and they have scaled back on many things. Is this true?
Also for excursions, it is so hard to know which one to do. If you have been on this cruise and docked at St. Kitts, Haiti, St. Marteen and Puerto Rico, do you have any you'd suggest to do or suggest to avoid?

Re: Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas
We didn't do the navigator but we stopped at San Juan (Is this the port you are talking about when you mention PR?)
If yes, we did a segway tour with http://www.segwaytourspr.com/ and it was a great time. A nice mix of history and activity.
ETA - when you say Haiti, I assume you mean Labadee. If so, its just a beach stop. I wouldnt pay the huge prices for any 'excursion' they offer there. Bring watershoes. The water all the way ahead of you when you get off the dock is ROCKY.

Re: Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas
I havent been on that ship but on our last cruise we stopped at St. Kitts and I thought the town was kinda dirty, we went to a beach on our own which was highly recommended on trip advisor it was not clean. Next time I would either stay on the ship or do a an excursion through the boat.

Re: Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas
I was just on RC's Navigator of the Seas earlier this year.
WE LOVED IT!
No complaints from us whatsoever - we had a regular inside state room, and enjoyed our cruise. Service was excellent, the food was great and we did not need to book excursions through Royal Caribbean (there were tons of things to do once we got off the boat - our group ended up renting a Jeep and driving around the Island on our own time hitting all the local beaches).
Any questions, feel free to FM me - I have pics of the boat on my Facebook which I would be happy to share.

Re: Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas
I have been on this ship - Western Caribbean, it is awesome.
I have cruised on RCCL 5 x and have never had bad service or bad food once.
Labadee - it's a private part of Haiti run by RCCL - all the employees that serve teh food, etc are from the ship, the food is from the ship. RCCL allows a certain number of the island residents to come in and sell local hand made crafts. They will trade for almost anything as well - there are some nice things - negotiate. They love american stuff - if you have baseball hats, etc. they will trade for them. Be tough with negotiating.
It really is one of my most favorite stops though, it's very relaxing.
