Rui Palace Maya Riviera? Moon Palace?
Got a sick deal on Riu and it looks like a 4 star.
Stayed at Aventura before so curious what others think about Moon Palace?

Re: Rui Palace Maya Riviera? Moon Palace?
I stayed at the RUI in cabo- I liked it alot- but the food wasn't great- it was ok- but not great
my friend went to the one in cancun and said the same thing
I just stayed at dreams in DR- which I am sure is the same anywhere- and the food was amazing
check out cheap caribean- we booked thru them- very impressed!

Re: Rui Palace Maya Riviera? Moon Palace?
I have stayed at the Riu Punta Cana and two weeks ago at the Riu Ocho Rios. They tend to be very pretty resorts, but the ammenities kind of stink. There is no room service, no pool/beach side waiters, and the food is ok. Plus to eat at any of the specialty restaurants you have to wake up and be on line to make reservations at like 7am.

Re: Rui Palace Maya Riviera? Moon Palace?
wow, the reviews don't say any of that.
I loved Aventura Spa Palace but I may want to try something else. That price is around $2000. Still not bad, excellent resort.
I got 6 nights 7 days for $1600 including air all inclusive for the RIU.
Tempted to look at DR.
Then my cousin offered her time share. I have no idea what that would be like.
We really want to get away this summer but we don't want to spend a fortune. We were considering the Cape but if you add it all up with hotel, transportation, food, activities..it's not that much less. As much as I love the Cape, I love the caribbean more!

Don't know yet. She just came back and she said they have some more credits to use. I think they were at a resort not a condo. I sent her a mail so I haven't heard back yet. She said all I would have to pay for is airfare. I would think I would have to pay for food, activities, drinks..etc. as well. Not bad though if it's a decent place.

Re: Rui Palace Maya Riviera? Moon Palace?
We stayed at the Cancun Palace for our honeymoon and went to Moon Palace for the "talk." We knew we were in no position to buy a timeshare so really there was no "pressure." We basically went for the free taxi ride and $150 gift shop certificate. We also ate at their japanese restaurant. Moon Palace is huge, the grounds are very pretty and the pool area is amazing. Food is really on par with many other all inclusive places.
