I started outdoors until I was attacked Chat Icon Now I run on a treadmill. I started running in October following the C25k, which is interval training, 3 times a week, for 30-40 minutes, at a SNAILS pace. Once I got up to running 30 straight minutes, my pace started out at 13+ minute miles. I've slowly built up to 10 minute miles, so now, almost 5 months later, I run 3 miles, 3 times a week, in exactly 30 minutes.

Re: Runners.........

I havent been running that long. My pace depends on my distance. If Im running a 5K I'll try for 10 min miles (Im a slow runner) .. anything longer than that I run very slow. This past Sun was my first 10K and I did it in 1:07 minutes. I run outside when its nice out but I dont mind the treadmill.

Re: Runners.........

BEFORE I got hurt

Average Pace: 8-9 minute mile based on distance. 9:20 average mile for a half marathon.

I started running December 2009.

I used to run about 20-25 miles per week. It would vary based on the day, anywhere from 2-10 depending what I was training for.

Right now I have Runner's Knee and have been sidelined for 2 months...I'm starting to run again at a slower pace (10 minute miles) and I alternate that with walking. I do about 2 miles, 3 days a week.

Re: Runners.........

Current Pace: Varies 9:15-10:15 (good days and bad)

Time running: I've been running for probably 10 years. I used to really love it...ran lots of races, a marathon, 3 half marathons and was running sub 9 min miles. Then I had children, weight fluctuations, not the same enthusiasm for it. I do it for fitness not for pleasure!

How often: At least 3 days a week but sometimes 4.

Mileage: 3-4 miles per run

Indoor/Outdoors: I hate indoor running! I run outdoors--tried the treadmill weeks ago and hated it. I made it through the whole winter running outside.

Re: Runners.........

I started running a year ago with the C25K. I now run 3 or 4 times a week, usually 5 miles per session. My pace was much slower when I started but I'm now able to do 10 minute miles which I know is still pretty slow but I'm happy with it for now.

I run on the treadmill or on school tracks when the weather is warm. I'm too self conscious to run on the streets and also paranoid about getting hit by a car.

Re: Runners.........

I'm starting the couch to 5k again after 2 years. I figure it's the easiest way to get my endurance back. I'm doing it on a treadmill and I currently jog at 5 mph, which is a 12 minute mile. Once I start running for longer periods, I will get to 6 mph, which is a 10 min mile. My goal is to finish the program at a 10 min mile. Last time I did it, I ran outside so I don't actually know my pace. I think it was slower than 6 mph.

ETA: I've been running off an on for 2 years (usually off in the winter months) but recently I haven't run since August, so that is why I'm starting the program over. I think it's the fastest way to get my endurance up.

Re: Runners.........

I started the C25k program in June 2009.

At that time I had 83lbs to lose. I have since only lost 30lbs so I still have 53 lbs to lose.

for 3 - 4 miles my pace is just under an 11 minute mile. For my longer runs 5 - 6 miles my pace is closer to 12 minute miles.

As I lose weight I know I will get faster. Right now I only run out side since I HATE the treadmill because it is so boring for me. I am going to start doing HIIT on the treadmill this week. Doing this will help with my weight loss and increase my speed while also providing me a little variety so its not so boring.

Wed - 6-8 miles
Thurs - 6-8 miles

Re: Runners.........

What is your pace? I am all over the place. 5ks usually between 8 and 9 minute miles. But I train anywhere from 7 minute miles to 10 minute miles. I train too fast and am currently working on slowing down my training runs. My practice 5ks shouldn't be 24 minutes when i run 27 in a race, makes no sense.

How long have you been running? Ran on and off since high school. Recently started up again in September, 7 weeks after the birth of my twins.

How often do you run? (x days wk) again varies. Usually 3-4 days per weeks. When i did insanity I was only 1 run per week, a 5k race every weekend. Now training for 1/2 marathon but only have time 3 days per week.

How many miles per day do you run? Short runs 3-4 miles twice a week. Long run 6 and up, going to go up to 12 before the 1/2 marathon.... These once a week.

Do you run indoors or outdoors? I mostly run on the treadmill but am trying to do at least 1 run, the long run, outside per week. Also now that the babies are older and it is getting warmer out, ive been running with the double jogger outside more.

Re: Runners.........

I haven't been running long at all. I started running 5-6 days a week in january. I run anywhere from 3-4 miles each time... it takes me 35-45 minutes. And I've only ran on treadmills.
I'm not a fast runner but I'm trying to increase my pace and stamina. I would love to run 5K in under 30 minutes eventually. Hopefully by the spring or summer I could do it....

Re: Runners.........

What is your pace?
It varies a lot but somewhere between 8.5 min. - 10.5 min. per mile depending on the length of the run

How long have you been running? a couple of years, but I haven't always been consistent with it

How often do you run? (x days wk) Again it varies.. some weeks 4-5 times & other weeks only 1-2 times

How many miles per day do you run? Usually between 3.5-5.5 miles on a weekday run, 10+ miles on a weekend run

Do you run indoors or outdoors? I like the treadmill because I can keep track of my pace better, and don't have to deal with cold or rain. Spring/summer/early fall I enjoy running in the park.

Re: Runners.........

I am a slow runner.

I run about an 11 minute mile for 30 minutes straight. Prior to August 23, it would take me 17.30 minutes to WALK a mile....

I have been running since August. I always worked out prior to children but I use to attend organized fitness classes (step, spin etc).

I run 5 days a week indoors

How often do you run? (x days wk) I used to run 5 days a week and then started suffering from lots of injuries. Now I run 3 days a week and xtrain 3 days a week.

How many miles per day do you run? Monday 7-8 interval miles on a treadmill, Wednesday I run half of whatever my long run on Saturday will be. Saturday is usually a minimum of 10 and both Wednesday and Saturday runs are outside. Saturday runs will now be on Friday though!

I am so ready to get back out there.
