Sad question about life ins. for unborn child?
Sorry for the morbid question, but I am beyond hormonal today and I've searched the boards for the answers to this question and cannot find he answer....
I am 32 wks now, and while we have no signs of having a stillborn baby, I know this does happen and would like to think about what we do IF that happens....Is there life insurance for the expenses of a funeral/burial? DH and I both have excellent life insurance and we are planning on getting a good plan for DS when he arrives - but what happens if something happens WHEN he arrives? DH's grandma delivered her first child stillborn back in the late 1940's....she and grandpa then went on to have eight more children....DH doesn't understand why I'm even worried about this, but like I said, I am really hormonal today and just getting a little weird with the birth less than 8 wks away... Can anyone help answer this? TIA...

No, you can't take out life insurance on an unborn child.

You don't need life insurance even if that were to happen. MOST funeral homes will do those services for free and only require the family to pay for the cemetery.
BUT......PLEASE don't think about this You will and your baby will be fine!!!

Thanks, girls. The way junior is bouncing around my belly lately I can't imagine him EVER being still....I am confident he will be born healthy, happy, and BIG. Like I said, I'm very hormonal today and like to have answers to my questions....
