SAHM/WAHM - Groups?
Just wondering if anyone is part of a "Mom's Group". If you are how did you find it, are there any dues, and how often do you do activities?

I looked at my library for classes for DS, also churches sometimes have some as well. I wasn’t looking to spend a lot of money right now so I went these routes.
Also not sure where you are located but CFA in smithtown has classes from New Mommy group all the way to Preschool….including music class.

I used to belong to South shore mothers center. It rocked! we did Fire Island everything!
I was just thinking yesterday...I have some things in mind and we cn make our own..pumpkin=apple picking---the ecology center---atlantis marine world...fire Island..
Im going anyhow so the more the merrier!

I looked into something like this also but didn't really find much. I just try to go to any GTG's that are posted on here. Everyone I know works during the week so i'm always by myself...and Rylan of course.

I belong to a MeetUp group for Working Moms on LI, but I have only been to one outing. DD is (or was at the time) the youngest.

I did Mingling Moms which was nice because I was able to meet some women there that I still get together with.

I definitely want to start going to some GTG's that are posted here. I'm just waiting for Ryan to get a little older

I go with Christina (Briansbaby) on Friday AMs the the Centereach library.
They have "Stay and Play" from 10-11:30AM.
Kids love it.
You do not have to be a member of the library or live in the town.
I also go to Barnes N Noble on Wed. AMs near the WW Mall and sometimes on Tues AMs to the one at Smithaven Mall.
Last year I belonged to a group offered at my local library and from there when it ended a few of us still met up and had GTGs.
I basically look for GTGs listed on here as well. I'm off in the summer, but, start babysitting in Sept. (school calendar). I try to get DS involved in as much as possible

I feel like LIF fills my need for a group!!!!!!! I work outside the home, so it may be different for me. We will probably do Music Together again, so that plus my LIF activities is fine by me!!!

We've been doing Music Together since DD was 3 months
I have a local group of friends that I GTG with all the time as well as a group of mommies from LIF that I GTG with

I am doing Mingling Moms. It starts next week. We also do Gymboree now which is a lot of fun and I met great people. If you are interested in Mingling Moms there website is minglingmoms.com
