SAHM's with DH's who are self employed or anyone who pays for their own health ins.

Yet again, another $#@!#$% increase. We are at the point where we just can't continue to pay an insane premium for lousy coverage.

With people cutting back my DH lost 2 customers already so we're in full blown cutdown mode. The increase in the insurance and loss of customers put us over the edge.

So, if you pay your own insurance who do you use and how is the coverage. Is Healthy NY worth looking into? Do a lot of doctors accept it?

We have health insurance through DH's job.

But I do think you should look into Family Health Plus or Healthy NY. I believe I heard on the radio that the combined incomes have been raised

I agree with Kate. Check out Child Health Plus. If you don't qualify for free insurance, it's pretty inexpensive.

Right now we are paying cobra until DH's new insurance kicks in, 6 MONTHS, We have Empire bc/bs and we pay $1138.00 a month The coverage is pretty good but high copays

We have GHI. Our premiums just went up too and it's insane! Our coverage isn't terrible but I think it could be better. DS's copays are nothing but for me and DH it's $40/visit. Let me know if you want more info!
