I jumped up 50K from my last job. If you add together the salary I got in all three years at my last job, it still wouldn't equal what I make now!!  I can't believe I stayed at the last place soo long for peanuts!!!

Is is
(current salary - first salary) / (new salary)
x 100
Is that the percentage increase? My brain is fried today and I'm second guessing myself ...
(current salary - starting salary)/starting salary *100

I make 150% more than I did when I started...
However, there was a time when I made 400% more- but that was during the internet boom- and I'm sure I wasn't worth that much money only 3 years out of school!!!

276% but that's over 11 years.
I started in Catholic school and am teaching in the lowest paying district in Nassau with a Masters plus 60 credits. It should be so much more considering I completed all of that extra course work.

I'm actually making less than I did at my first real job. But to do what I do at the company I work for I'm doing "great" (according to some recruiters ). I'm not complaining because I absolutely love my company and I found my dream career...10 years from now I'll be making a LOT more...so it's worth it.

I've been at my current job (my first real job)for 7 years and my salary has increased about 200% but I was making cr@p when I started.
