saline sono question
Hi! So I had an HSG two weeks ago and all was good, tubes are open. Went to the RE to discuss next steps and he wants me to go for a saline sono to check my uterus. How bad is the saline sono? Also, for the HSG I had to take an antibiotic but not for this?
I am so over these tests and want to call it quits. I hate everything about this

Saline sono is nothing.
I had no discomfort at all: was done in the office in less than 2 minutes.
I know it seems overwhelming in the beginning.

saline sono question
Very easy! Takes 2 minutes right in the office, they put about a tablespoon of saline into your uterus and look around, only time i felt a tiny cramp was when the liquid went in but was fine the entire time.

I was so nervous for the saline sono.. it ended up being nothing. I had no pain and it was over within 3 min. I actually said "oh thats it?"

I had the wrong test name it was a saline hsg and oh my goodness not to scare anyone but that was the worst test I have ever had and I have had a bunch of tests lately. The good news is my uterus is totally fine. Now onto the consult to see what the next plan is...

whats the difference between an HSG and a saline HSG?
the HSG checked my falopian tubes with dye.
The saine one was to check my uterus, there was no x-ray..
for me the hsg did not hurt but the saline one did..

saline sono question
I think the saline one is a hysterosonogram, and the other is a hysterosalpingogram. I remember when I scheduled the first, they wanted to double check that I wasn't actually scheduled for the second. My first saline sonogram was pretty comparable with my HSG in terms of cramping and bleeding. My second one was nothing at all, but then again, my cervix had been dilated twice between those two procedures, so that might have made a difference.

A saline sono and a Saline HSG is the same thing. I have never heard it called an HSG before and had to google it but it is just the sono.
