Saline Ultrasound (Update)

What do they see on this that do not see on the standard internal?

I have to scheduled mine to move foward and just curious. I have had like a million internals and everything looks fine, just nervous that they will find something wrong.

Update:
I had my u/s done this morning. I am all clear of polyps and fibroids, but my RE found something in my uterus. He is not sure if it is a clot or tissue. I have to wait for AF and go back on day 12/13 and have another one done. Hopefully it is just a clot and it will pass, if not I will have to have it removed, but that is something that he does in his office and is only about a 1/2 hour procedure. Once that is done we continue with IVF.

Has anyone ever had something like this?

ETA: Because I love the irony of it all, the clot had the shape of a baby. Chat Icon

Re: Saline Ultrasound?

They are looking for polyps or any abnormalilties in the uterus. It is not painful at all and is pretty quick.

Polyps and cysts. It doesn't take long and is not painful, you just leak water out of your who-ha all dayChat Icon. Make sure to wear a pad. GL!

I had this a few weeks ago and posted as well. It did not hurt (some cramping for about 20 minutes after it was over). They were looking for fibroids, cysts, polops and large clumps of endomitriosis.
