people had wet nurses back in the day all the time.

I have to imagine that if you didn't live in LI...and maybe lived, say in, oh, maybe...Sierra Leone, where children DIE every day due to starvation, that you may change your tune.
but maybe I'll just google search how many CVS's they have there...b/c of course, it could have been an option for these mothers to hop in their SUV's and drive over there...but figured they'd wait for Salma to swing on down for a visit instead.
I agree, these people live a VERY different life, they watch their children starve to death on a daily basis...I just cannot see how someone giving a baby nourishment that he desperatly needs can be seen as anything other than selfless and amazing
ITA. I hate how a selfless act is quickly turned into a negative spin.

I think it is wonderful. People used to have wet nurses all the time. When I was born my mother had to stay in the hospital longer and my cousin had a baby that was born a month before me so she breast fed me till my mother came home. I don't find anything wrong with it.

This is a 1 week old baby who is starving and needs the nourishment - I think it's beautiful that she did that.

nope, as a nurse who talks about stool and vomit while eating breakfast in report... it's nothing.
i think it was an incredible generous gesture on her part. i would've done the same---
