Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
What Annual percentage yeild does your savings account have?
When I opened my ING I swear it was 4%, and now its 2.8 or something.
I want one that is higher, any suggestions?

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
I have a 5% from citi bank- but I got it a few years ago- I don't think the rate is that high now - I should check to see if it dropped- but I don't think it has
I just opened an ING at 3%

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
My HSBC account used to be 4.5, now it is at about 2.8. Due to the economy, all interest rates are decreasing.

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
I have an e-Citi saving account which I think is up in the 5's, if not high 4%-wise.
I also have a GMAC account, which consistently yeilds about 5.75-6%. I have mostly all my savings there. At one point you had to be a GM employee or spouse of one, but now I think it's open to anyone. I can check on that for you.

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
The Citibank E savings account is currently at 2.67%. If you look at your June statement you'll see it.

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
Countrywide Bank currently has 3.75% and will be higher than basically any other bank out there.
Or if you are a heavy debit card user, just get one of the many 6% interest reward checking accounts.
If you make 10+ debit purchases a month (any amount) and get direct deposit and electronic statements you will get 6% interest.

These accounts no longer put out the rates you are quoting. The Citi is definitely lower. Not sure about the GMAC but if thats FDIC insured I am sure thats much lower too.
I could be wrong but if you think they are still the same, feel free to post a link to the current rates.

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
My job has 1% for the regular savings, 4% on checking, and an average of 3% on cds.
ING is def down to around 2.8, but so is everyone else thanks to the economy

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
my ING is down to 3% but I'm sticking with them for my short-term savings because of how convenient they are and I just dig them.
Perhaps you should look for more of an investment-type-deal (formal terminology) if you are looking for a greater return.

Re: Savings Account with Highest Annual Yield?
my savings is with WaMU and it yields 3.25%. it's online and linked to my checking account. i like it b/c i can easily move money back and forth when needed. this allows me to keep as much money in savings as possible and only enough in checking for bills when they are due. i used to have ING but i hated the 3 day wait time and the fact that funds were not accessible for a period of time after deposit.
