Why does it seem like NY is always changing plates!?!?
Its around every 10 years or so. It eliminates the "improperly" registered vehicles. It also gives the state money when you have to get new plates...and we all know NY needs money desperately!

No longer a NY resident, but after seeing these plates, am now kinda glad...they look hideous.
On a side note - I hate that I am becoming so old that things that were around when I was a kid are back now...like leggings...saw some teenager sporting them yesterday at the mall, thinking she was sooo cool, and I just remember thinking..."kid - those things are not cool unless you also have 3 pairs of neon scrunchy socks on and rubber bracelets on your arms...SO THERE!!!!"

I don't like them-but I didn't like the old ones either.
Of the plates that I remember, I like the current ones the best.
