Scar Tissue Affecting IVF??

Hi - I've been reading these boards for the last 2+ years as we have battled our own IF. I am at a big crossroads now and figured it was about time I reached out to all of you and posted.

Quick history, I started working with Dr B in April of 2011 and he informed me that I had a single, very large fibroid. At first, we tried IUI's but after the 2nd one resulted in an ectopic, AF never returned after MONTHS of waiting. Ectopic was August, wasn't until January that we decided it must have something to do with the fibroid and then in March 2012, I finally had surgery to remove it. Dr Pillitteri was my surgeon and he had to make a c-section like incision to remove it.

Fast fwd to today, I have been through 1 IVF and 2 FET cycles, all BFN's. I spoke to Dr P because I still have soreness and tenderness in my belly 14 months post-surgery and he said it could be scar tissue or adhesions - PLUS that it could be messing with my IVF results. I have had a hysteroscopy and the inside of my uterus is free of scar tissue, so could stuff going on outside of my uterus really be messing everything up? Anyone know anything about this or have a similar experience? TIA!!
