scheduled c-section and internals
If you were having a scheduled c-section did you still have internal exams? When did they start?

Nope...no internals, even though I tried to convince my docs to do them hoping i would go into labor before my scheduled day

My 1st had internals, but they did not schedule my c/s until I was 39 wks.
2nd, was a scheduled c/s and still had internals. I can't recall when they started.

My Dr said no, unless there could be reason to check. (have contractions, etc)

Nope no internals for me. The dr asked me toward the end if i was experiencing any contractions ( i wasnt) but if i was he said he would do an internal for me to see if i was dialated at all. I had a scheduled c section i didnt want him to give me an internal thinking he would stir something up and i would go into labor

I just checked, I only had 1 at 39 weeks a few days before my c/s. My dr hasn't said anything yet about this pg, I'm almost 35 weeks.

I've had two (with 2 different practices, affiliated with 2 different hospitals) and had internals with both from week 36 on.

I'm just wondering (purely out of curiosity) why they would do them at all with a schedules section unless there were contractions happening?

Yes I am getting internals, every 2 weeks and now I'll be going every week so will be getting them every week
