I had one last week at a few days shy of 36 weeks. My scheduled c-section is April 18th (39 weeks).

I don't think mine does them for c-sections either. At my 37 wk apt the assistant asked me if I was having a c-section (I'm not unless something changes) before telling me to change into the giant paper towel to be checked.

I only had one a few weeks ago when they did the strep b test. it wasn't uncomfortable though like a real internal.. I think they really just did the swab. I asked if they would do any more and she said no, unless I was worried things were moving along. this is my 2nd pregnancy and it's a scheduled C. I have my 38 week appt. tomorrow.
