Scheduled c-section mommas
Did your water break (either prior to or at the hospital)? Did they still break your water in the hospital as if you were to vaginally deliver?

My water broke 1 week before my scheduled c-section. At the hospital my dr. broke it even more . I would think they would break it to see if there is any meconium but I'm really not sure.

I had a scheduled c-section. My water never broke. They just opened me up!

Scheduled C here (38w 1d). Went into labor that morning but my water did not break. They only break your water when delivering vaginally as it is what blocks the birth canal while you're pregnant so the baby doesn't come flying out. Since they take the baby out by your pelvis, it's not necessary to break your water.

I went to the doctors office for a normal check up and i was sent to the Hospital ASAP that they were going to do a c-sectin b/c of my preeclampsia and they never broke my water..
