Selling gold jewelry
I want to surprise DH with a nice gift for Valentine's Day but now that I am a SAHM, spending money is like spending HIS money. I have old jewelry from ex-boyfriends that I never wear but I kept and I wouldnt mind selling it to get DH a gift. Where can I do this? A pawn shop seems so "seedy"

Linda Shop Jeweler's in Massapequa Good Old Gold as well From Italy with Love
They all buy old gold jewelry. I would think that most jewelry stores buy old gold so you might have luck anywhere.

Re: Selling gold jewelry
i think any jeweler would be happy to buy it! they melt it down and use it to make new peices. like somebody else said, the price of gold is up really high right now, so you'll probably make out pretty well i live in north jersey and lurk on the NJ NEST message board and the girls on there were going nuts because a jeweler in the area was buying gold and had a coupon/ special that he would give an extra 10% of what the gold was worth... some of the girls were walking out of there with like $1000!! definitely worth looking into!

I went to a local jeweler we've known for a while, but I think many are buying it now..do it! We made lots of $$ doing this!
