and if anyone honestly beleives that Walmart is the only one that uses cheap labor for their products, needs to look just a littel bit more....
it's not about cheap- it's about the working conditions for the workers
WM turns a blind eye to what goes on at those factories
Target
JC Penny
Macy's
are just a few that do not-
I have been thru the inspection process for all those retailers and they even count the number of lights! the factoires either have to make changes or the good don't ship
WM doesn't do that- the process is costly and time consuming- and shame on them!
And it's not just about using cheap international labor and violating human standards at those factories. A large number of their violations occur in the US. They have been found guilty of some fairly despicable discriminatory and retaliatory practices.

That's why I used the "/" to separate them as opposed to a comma.

My father was in the "rag" business (making sweaters) for all his life and he lost his job to the "cheap" labor of overseas factories....his company sold to Target, JCpennys, Macys just to name a few....ALL the sweaters that he made were produced here in the good ol USA BUT then they decided its better to pay the workers $1 a day to make sweaters in some country 1/2 way around the world.

the sad reality is that most people don't give a crap until they know someone that was affected by this.
I HOWEVER DO CARE! and try very hard to not buy goods made in China. anything made there is junk anyway.

hardly anything is made here anymore- so many textile workers lost their jobs to places like India
west point stevens - who makes Ralph lauren bedding as well as many other well know brands is in the process of moving production over seas and closing down there southern plants
a huge towel maker closed 2 years ago

I like Target and usually shop there.
I will take a spin around the block from Target to check out Walmart but usually leave with nothing.

I went to school in upstate new york and walmart was the only store around. I think walmart has great prices, like buying personal products there, shampoo, ect.
I like target for clothes...
Really either store, Target is closer now though

I love Target but only cause the walmarts around here are A MESS. But the walmarts like in GA and FLA are nice!
