yet WM forces there supplies each year to lower the price of good or be dropped from the assortment- which can mean going out of business for some companies
If the company goes out of business because WM pushed for lower pricing then they only have themselves to blame. In the division my employer does business with (and we're an American company located here on LI) they won't allow WM to be over 25% of a company's revenue. We've walked away from business because it wasn't profitable, so if the company is that desparate for sales that they will sell at an unprofitable price, or they allow WM to become the majority of their income then they are responsible for their own business practices and should be seeking to balance their income base better.
I'm not a big fan of WM, and the stores here on LI are filthy, but to be honest, LI is filthy. There are so many pigs living here that think their car window is an open garbage can - just look at the cigarette butts on the side of the road at stoplights, and all the fast food packaging and bottles tossed on the roadside. (ooops - that's another discussion and pet peeve)
Everyone loves to hate WM but they do good things too. They have an "Environmental Sustainability" initiative in which suppliers are challenged to reduce their impact on the environement by reducing consumption of resources and polution. We've had to submit info on our efforts to reduce use of electricity, recycling packaging and reducing waste. Multiply that by the large number of suppliers selling to WM and you see where they can have an impact on an improved environment.

I definitely prefer Target, but I hate, hate, hate their return policy (without a receipt)!!!!!!! It seriously blows.

Target. Walmart actually makes me have a panic attack if I go in one. I feel so claustrophobic there it is really strange

Re: Semi Spinoff : WalMart or Target?
On Long Island I hated Walmart! They are just horrible and I always went to Target instead. But here in NC the Walmarts are so much nicer and I often find myself going there instead of Target.
