Sensitive issue re rape--this time not a stranger (for us)
Hey ladies,
Just wanted to say hi and that I miss you.I come on but not as much as before....Alot has happened but the issue that has impacted the most happened to one of DH's family members....
One of his cousins in Jamaica had their two year old daughter raped. She was playing with her siblings and other kids and this guy who knew her lured her away and by the time the kids ran to get an adult and they found her it was too late, he had defiled that poor baby. When he heard the commotion he jumped off her and took off running but some adults caught him and BEAT HIS A$$. although he was caught in the act--legally its GREAT. but other news isnt good. She is broken..physically and emotionally. her father wasnt at home--which DH said was good because he would have killed him and ended up in jail not able to give her the care she needs.
Its been hard because everytime we look at DD we think the same thing. it could have been her. This is a guy who EVERYONE knew. Had dinner with. We hung out with him when we went to Jamaica. Shows that you never know the true predators.
When I see little girls so tiny and care free that poor baby flashes in front of my eyes and it wont go away....
 One of the reasons I havent checked out anyones pics or even taken new ones...I have to shake this off and try not to keep my girls in a bubble.
ETA: I showed this post to DH. He now understands why I come on here

Im so sorry.....
I remember reading reports of how predators are chosing victims so young b/c they dont want to run the risk of HIV...
It's so sad.

Awful.... I'm just sick to my stomach. I'm crying for that poor baby.
I pray that she heals, emotionally and physically, and I pray she can return to a normal childhood.

Oh no! That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard. I hope that man rots in jail and karma comes back to bite him.
I also pray for that little baby, that she may somehow be able to heal and move past this terrible thing.

that poor child, I hope she can recover from this...ugh, 2 years old? The same age as my sweet baby....

Something tells me that when he is in jail and the other inmates find out what he did... he will probably wish he were dead.

i cant stop crying right now i have my own issues with this kind of topic and i hope to God that someone kills him and I mean a painful long drawn out death, God forgive me for saying this, but I mean it with all of my heart
and may this poor poor baby and her family find a normal childhood/life again very soon

My stomach rolled as I read that- and my heart aches. I'm looking at my DD who is almost the same age and I cannot for the life of me IMAGINE the kind of pain your family is dealing with.
My prayers are with your cousin and her beautiful baby girl.

I can't even imagine. I hope the vengeance that rains down on him is slow & painful. There is no punishment harsh enough when someone alters a child's life like that.
