Sentricon system?
Anyone have this and feel its a waste? We have had it for 2 yrs. The guy said we can basically have it 2 years then the property is usually covered and no need to renew after that.
We get a swarm in our sunroom every spring. (just waiting for it any day) It's an indoor/outdoor room so we aren't so concerned. They came and checked foundation and walls and didn't see any nest so they said they could just be coming up through the concrete floor in the sunroom. This obviously means new colonies can start. I know the sentricon isn't 100%, but I kinda feel its a waste if we have termites still. They said they can drill holes in the walls of the room and spray for $650, but without them knowing where the nest is, its not 100% either.
Would you bother renewing? It's $350/year and we could really use money for other things if this is pointless.

Sentricon system?
It was installed at the house before we moved it and we renew each year. We havent had termites since we've been there (2011) and they come to check it every year. Its just like any other insurance. Not sure in your situation though since you're still getting them. I guess I would renew only so they dont spread to other areas around your house.

Sentricon system?
When we bought our house in 2000, we had a termite inspection and were cleared. About 4 months later, we had termites swarming in our bathroom. We got Sentricon and they were gone by the next year. We kept it for maybe two years after that, and we were told they were unlikely to return. It's been at least 12 years since then and we haven't had them return. For piece of mind, maybe renew one more year and if you come up clean, end it there.

Did you find a nest and treat in the bathroom?

We did have to rip the bathroom wall out and they replaced the main beams. We did not actually see the queen, but they did think she was in there. So, not entirely sure.

We did not treat the bathroom directly or spray anything. Just did the sentricon.
