September girls...when will you have the baby's christening?

i am really torn about this....if we wait till Jan or Feb then we have a chance of a snowstorm.

if you have even thought about this, what month are you gonna do?

Oh my gosh, I'm having the same dilemma. Because my due date is late September, I can't help but think I'll actually have the baby in October and the holidays put a big crunch on the Christening plans. So my SIL recommended either doing it a few weeks before Thanksgiving when the baby's really young or waiting until end of March early April to avoid any weather issues....

I'm looking forward to the responses you get since I'm in the same boat! Thanks!

My younger son was born 9/12 and we had his Baptism the first week of December. We're in NC though!

ETA: Everyone is different and there is not a set time to do it, age wise, but I like to do it around 7-8 weeks old.

I am thinking April/May 2011. In oct/nov I will take her to church to "Bless her".

Due date is 9/21, I have the christening booked for 10/24..hoping i go a few days early like i did with dd, or i told mom she is calling everyone and inviting them lol

I was thinking of doing it over the christmas vacation... all my sisters live out of town, and a lot of DH's family lives out of town, so I was hoping this wuld work. And hoping our church actually does christenings that week.

I'm due October 1.

I had my son on 9/9/09 and his christening was 11/7/09

DD is due 9/12...will have the christening 10/24.

Restaurants start charging more right before the holidays, and it's too hectic to get everyonw together because of holiday parties and stuff. And I do not want to wait until after the holidays...too long IMO.

i already booked his christening ~ it will be november 14th.

i wanted to do it before the holidays and before i go back to work.

I am due Sept 3, so I was thinking before Thanksgiving sometime in November.

I am due 9/1 and was debating this too! My family is mostly OOT and they will be coming in for the birth. I dont want them to come back the following month so I am going to do March.
With DD she was boen 6/24 christening 8/24. But I dont want ppl to come back n fourth then I have to wait for snow/cold to be gone so we will be doing March

I am due August 20th and we'll probably do it the following spring.
