Thank everyone, my dad thought I was crazy when he heard I threw out a bunch of wings from yesterday. He said he would have eaten them!

Plain pizza is the only thing I'd eat left out overnight. Definitely not chicken...
(I was told by someone who worked in food safety that Pizza is ok bc it's so acidic it prevents bacteria growth...)

This! I've eaten plain pizza that was out overnight quite a few times  Chicken - nooo way.

eta- I read your dad. My dad would do something like that too, as not to waste food. I rather throw out money than get myself sick, thank you.

No, it's gross. I mean, you CAN and there's a good chance nothing bad would happen BUT as you leave food out, there is bacteria that develops and you could very well get food poisoning. Or at least a bad stomach ache.

This isn't true at all!!
Everything has bacteria on it. Cheese on pizza contains dairy..that cheese sitting out, exposed to air grows bacteria like anything else.
I'm taking microbiology right now...its amazing what we found when examining the bacterial growth curve of food...it's makes you think twice about everything.
The good news is, most of the time the worst that will happen is a terrible stomachache or diarrhea, lol. (not that thats any fun!)
