Several children in Hannah's daycare class *UPDATED*

were sent home with coxsackie. Does this pretty much mean she's going to get it too? What about my DS who is only 3 weeks old?

Is there anything I can do to prevent him from getting it if she gets it?

What are the symptoms? treatments?

UPDATE

My daughter had this the week after I came home with my son. Keep her as far away as possible. No kissing hold nothing. Constantly wash your hands and change your clothes if your daughter coughs or whatever on you.

Our son didn't get it. We were lucky.

Good luck!

we have it too! When we were in the office tere were 3 other kids with it as well, tis the season, gotta love those pools. It is a hit or miss, it is very contagious but some kids are less sensitive to catching itChat Icon

My DD had it about a month ago. Symptoms for us were very high fever and blisters in her throat. Chat Icon

The good news is it doesn't last that long. Maybe 3-5 days?

Oh god! This is the time when it gets rough. Knowing what I know now & going through it with a 2 week old, I would have sent the older one to my mom's for sick care.

We were very careful about washing our hands & dd still got it.

Good luck!Chat Icon

I don't have any where to send her.

What did you go through when Maddie got it?

Leah had this about 3 weeks ago and she isn't even around other kids much Chat Icon

She had a mild case and it was just a lot of bumps/blisters on her nads and mostly on her feet. Even now (3 weeks later) her skin is still peeling a bit from it, but I know the virus is gone.

Leah also had a high fever and was a bit irritable. They say that if the kids get it in their mouth, they may not want to eat as it will hurt to swallow Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
