Share your neighbor stories?

I'm sure there are more good than bad. But I'd like to hear all of them please.

When I was 22, my next door neighbors got a dog. A huge rottweiler named Zeus. Zeus was a sweetheart to everyone. He would routinely dig under or jump over the 6 foot blockade fence to socialize with everyone.

My sister and I were alone in the house one week because my parents had gone on vacation to Florida and we were both out on a Friday night. I came home at 2 or 3 in the morning and slept till about noon the next day.

I went out to put the laundry on the clothesline and my neighbor said, "Quite the excitement last night, huh?" and I wondered how they knew about the party I had gone to.

I soon found out that the night before, my neighbors across the street had been sitting out on their porch when they heard Zeus barking his head off. They shushed him but he wouldn't let up. My neighbor came across the street to see the problem and saw three guys standing on the roof of my house, next to my bedroom window.

Once they knew they had been spotted, they tried to get off the roof as fast as possible but my neighbor let Zeus loose in our yard. The dog got a piece of one of them before they got away.

The cops who came to the house knew both my sister and I and were driving around our neighborhood looking for us. To make sure we didn't spend the night alone, because everyone was worried the robbers would be back.

I spent the next few days at friend's houses and Zeus spent it in my backyard. I spoiled that dog rotten after that. Good old Zeus.

AWESOME dog!! I don't really have any stories, we live in a REALLY quiet neighborhood and it's wooded so we really don't SEE anyone either!

Wow that is a great story! Sorry I don't have a good story like that. Maybe one day once we move into our house.
