Sharing a positive lost pet story!

My cousin's shih tzu died very suddenly maybe 2 years ago...

It was really traumatic for him! She basically died out of nowhere and they don't know why it happened (could not afford autopsy).

We got him another one (my parents dog had puppies) and he LOVED this little puppy so much! He was so happy.

Fast forward 1.5 years...

Last weekend, my aunt got a call from her dog-walker saying "I have some bad news. Your dog got away"

My aunt and cousin were at a tennis tournament hours away from home and were absolutely heartbroken. The dog-walker couldn't explain what happened, how the dog got out, why only ONE dog got away...etc. And said she looked but couldn't find him.

The dog that got away, DJ, was a TINY little thing.... scared of any noises... and they live near very busy streets.

We were all pretty pessimistic about the whole situation, but my aunt, cousin, family friends, etc were all looking for poor DJ.

My aunt decided to put some dog treats leading from the sidewalk up to their front and back porches...

And GUESS WHAT? The next morning, after having been missing for nearly 20 hours... there was DJ in the backyard chomping away on doggie treats!!!!!!!!!

omg! that's a great story. and i'd be firing that walker ASAP, if not sooner.

So glad they got him back! And I agree it's time for a new dog walker..

happy to hear a good ending!!! I would go nuts if one of my babies was missing!!
