Sharing the news....
I'm 18 weeks. We haven't told anyone except our parents and my boss (I only told her because I was so sick). So DH's siblings, my best friends, etc still do not know.
I still have this intense fear that once I tell people, something will happen. I know it's irrational, and if something bad is going to happen it doesn't matter who I tell but it's like I'm still so afraid to get excited.
If I could, I'd wait until he/she was here and send everyone a picture!
Has anyone else waited this long? Or had the same fear?

Re: Sharing the news....
I felt the same exact way! We told our parents and siblings at 7 weeks, and close family and friends at 14 weeks. I haven't announced on Facebook and won't let anyone post pictures of me unless they crop my belly out.
I'm 28w2d now and I still get the feeling that I'm going to jinx it. We started cleaning out the nursery this weekend and I had a panic attack. I think it's normal for someone with a history of losses to be nervous. The best thing you can do is take it day by day.
As far as telling people, only tell those whom you would want by your side for support if, God forbid, something were to go wrong. That's what I did.
Wishing you lots of luck!

Sharing the news....
As someone that struggled with IF I will say that fear never went away until my DS was born.
We waited until I was 15 weeks to tell anyone, including parents.
Sharing your news is exciting and helps make the whole pregnancy seem more "real". I also agree with PP and only shared our news with family and close friends - I didn't post anything on social media until DS was born. GL!

I feel the same way. I'm 25 weeks now and a lot of people still do not know I'm pregnant. I only told my father a couple of weeks ago. I am also not putting anything on Facebook until after the baby is born, so close friends/family know not to post pics of my bump.

I was just on the phone with my best friend about this, she is 10 weeks with her 3rd but scared. She wishes it would just be February and the baby to be here healthy. hugs!

Re: Sharing the news....
I refuse to make formal announcements (ie on Facebook) for the same reason. I also don't like attention on me, so I always find it weird to announce to people that I'm pregnant. I remember with dd, I was terrified to buy anything for her. I bought our first outfit like a week before she was due.
