Sharp Objects - questions and spoilers
I just finished the series last night - there are a few things bugging me -
Did the dad not know what was going on? It clearly seemed like he was covering for the mom when the detective showed up looking for Camille. You’d think he would have been arrested as an accomplice?
How did all the scars get on Camille’s back - she couldn’t have done those to herself.
Did Amma pull out the girl’s teeth - I don’t see how a young girl could have the strength to do that. Or did the mom do it? Maybe I missed something along the way about this topic...

Sharp Objects - questions and spoilers
This series is totally crazy. I never read the book so someone who has may have more insight. I think the dad clearly knew the mother was poisoning her children and was just letting it all go on. He should be arrested but maybe they cannot prove it? Not sure about the scars. I can't see the mother doing it to her. Amma definitely pulled the teeth out with the help of her other rollerskating friends. The mother had nothing to do with those murders. Did you see the entire ending through the credits? There is a lot to see there.

NO- I just read a little while ago that there was more during the credits. I had no idea. So I guess that might answer some questions!

The first two questions I asked my husband!!! It bugged me soooo much!! There was no way she could have perfect words on her back like that!!! and yes the dad was always so suspicious, how could he not know and why didnt he get in trouble?
for the third... she was pretty scary maybe she did have the strength or some sort of drug to make it easier to pull them out? i dont know...
i didnt really love the series because i always felt it was either too obvious or too implausible.

Did you watch through the credits. As far as pulling the teeth they show you pretty much how it was done.

I watched after the credits and I didn't think it really gave me any more than I already know. Just confirmed it was her in white? I'm confused, it didn't give details about anything. Did I still somehow miss something?

You must have. There are two breaks in the credits not just one. The first is her in white. The second i could describe but if you havent seen it i think you should watch it for yourself !!

Watch it in slow motion. That’s what I had to do to really see everything that they explain after the credits.

Re: Sharp Objects - questions and spoilers
I just finished and i HATED this show. OMG it was so slow moving, they never really give you ANY information and then in the last 5 seconds it's like "oh btw here's who did it."
I don't even understand what the mother is in jail for. For poisoning her kids? For murdering the girls? Would they really have convicted her with only that one piece of evidence? Wouldn't she have an alibi since she didn't actually do it? What about the blood found in the brothers house? What about the friends? So they're accomplices? It just didn't make sense that they would help her IMO.
Everyone was just so weird, for no apparent reason.
It was one of the least satisfying shows I've ever watched.
I'm assuming the character development was much better in the book.

I kind of feel this way too - like what was the actual point? The mom poisoning the girls? The murders?
Are the poisonings and murders supposed to be related in any way - like the mom poisoned the daughter, so she became a killer?
IDK, weird show.

I agree it was frustrating. The mother had a disease that caused her to keep her daughters sick bc she felt the need to care for them (prob for self worth). This screwed up the older daughter bc she saw her sister get killed. She therefore cut herself, ran away, drank. The youngest sister was also mentally messed up from it she became a killer herself. The blood was in the girls house under the bed bc she was helping her friend. If you watch through the credits you see all the girls holding down the victim. That explains how the teeth were pulled. It was a group effort. I think the point is that no one expects women or especially young girls of violence.

Oh ok I saw the clips after the closing credits but it was all so fast I couldn't really make out details.
But yeah, I still felt like the whole show was so frustrating. I wish I just read the book instead.
