but isn't it already the end of it? if all these firms need to be bailed out by taxpayers or go belly up, how is that capitalism?
It's not, and quite frankly this is one of the many reasons I have NEVER supported any of the bailouts.
If we want capitalism when times are good, then we need to accept capitalism when times are bad. I'm sure many people disagree with me, but I honestly think the government involvement will only prolong the economic problems, not lead to a faster recovery.
