Shutterfly Photo Quality
I've used shutterfly for years, but over the past few months I find the image quality to be poor.My pics don't look nearly as sharp as thy used to. I've used various cameras and don't see a difference. Has anyone else noticed this? Are there any other sites that you recommend? I never cared for the quality of snapfish photos either.

Nope, they've taken a complete nosedive. I had a $20 gift card that came with DD1's school pics so I figured I would order my cards through there. I am a photographer and use a pro lab, but I figured, they're just cards and it won't cost me much, so why not? I've used them before for announcements, invites, cards without issue. So, I ordered before December 1st, I did my own custom design, so it was basically a 5X7 they had to get right. It had a white border on the card.
The first batch printed dark and blurry, the writing was smeared AND it was completely off center. I ordered matte, they sent glossy. Contacted customer support and they resent the batch.
Second batch arrived, now in matte! And less blurry! And somehow, this batch the exposure was better but still not sharp. It's a card, the pics were small so this in and of itself wasn't a huge issue considering what little I actually laid out. But they were still off center, even WORSE than batch 1. Contacted customer support. Took FIVE HOURS to get a rep on chat.
Batch 3 arrived. This time on center, but back to being printed darker than they should have. It is now the thursday before Christmas. I had no choice but to send them out.

I ordered my wedding thank yous and they came out fine but that was because they were small pictures. I knew that ahead of time but the 4x6 "free" prints were terrible. And these were my photographers photos so the quality was there.

Did you have them delivered or pick them up somewhere? I ask because I always have them delivered and I'm wondering if I had them printed at one of the pick up options if quality would be better.

The 4x6 prints I have not had a problem with, but their cards are horrendous!
