Sorry I was running late this morning (no sleep).
He wanted to be held, but not be held. So he asked me to hold his foot while he slept. I told him about 1am that I was going to take a shower and he said "I think I need you to take it in the morning. I still need you to hold my foot." Later on there was delirous thrashing around but no break in fever. He was asleep by the time DH got home. So we let him sleep but continued to make him drink water through the night.
We think he's better. He didn't seem to have a fever this morning but was complaining of a sore throat. It wasn't the fever that worried me, it was the severe headache with the fever. At this age, headaches are not normal. I am pretty sure that was the worst of it. I can't tell you the weight I felt lifted when I felt his forehead this morning.
Thank you all for the hugs...now we wait for Maddie to catch it.

UGH! So sorry to hear this! I hope the doctor can help shed some light on this high fever. I feel for you - the headache would freak me out, too.

I just wanted to let you know that my daughte rhas gotten headaches with high fever since she was about 3. Since then whenever she gets a headache (she feels like she needs to wear sunglasses) a fever shortly follows. Maybe he has strep- fever, headache, sore throat, I would bet strep. I hope you have a better night tonight
