Sign up for the New Baby Belly breast feeding class! *Class is tonight!
New Baby Belly is hosting a breast feeding class for 10 LIF Moms to be on Tuesday, August 31st at 7:30pm. The class will take place in their Massapequa location. The instructor for this class is an International board certified lactation consultant.
There will be no cost for this class to the LIF Mom to be.
The class will be about an hour and a half long and the topics that will be discussed are:
-Benefits of breast feeding and breast milk for both mother and baby
-Positioning your baby at breast
-How to know you are making enough milk
-What to expect during the first weeks at home
-Avoiding common difficulties
-Nutrition for the nursing mother
-Father’s role in successful breast feeding
-How you can continue breast feeding and return to work
-Information on choosing a breast pump
-The correct ways to pump and store breast milk
-When and why to call for support
To sign up for the class please reply to this thread with your estimated due date. If there are more then 10 Moms to be interested in the class we will randomly select the 10 moms to be that will be attending next month.
If you are interested you will be able to purchase a Medela Breast Pump at the class. They are $259 and will include a consultation on how to use it. They carry the Medela Pump In Style in the backpack or shoulder bag.
