Cassarole. I like my stuffing crispy on the outside. I find the stuffing too mushy ("steamed") when cooking inside.

we also do both, my mom makes the stuffing and theres so much it never all fits in the bird

we do both too but there is always a huge fight for the "wet" stuffing from the bird....yuuuuummmm I can almost taste it already.

I always thought you were supposed to stuff the bird, hence the name. But watching Alton, he said that since the inside of the bird cooks after the outside, the raw turkey choices can contaminate the stuffing so it's best to cook it separately.

My grandmother's been putting the stuffing in the bird for 70+ years, and we've never had a problem.
But don't tell my BIL. He won't eat it if he knew.
