Re: similac formula question
I switched from the advance to soy on oue own. My ped told me we would probably go through a few different formulas before we found the right fit. He said it made no difference to him which she was on ;)

Re: similac formula question
You can try similac sensitive RS. I switched DS to reg similac sensitive bc he wasnt spitting up, just had acid reflux. I would just leave a message for the ped to call you back and ask over the phone.

Re: similac formula question
My DD had the same problem with her formula and gas, spitting up (reflux). She is on Sensitive RS and is doing much better.

Re: similac formula question
I changed from Similac Advanced to Similac Sensitive after the doctor told me to stick with the original. DD was constipated for over a week, and all remedies were only temporary. I saw an immediate improvement.
Sometimes you have to go with your gut. Ultimately, it's YOUR child, you have to do what YOU think is best.

Re: similac formula question
DD had problems with gas. You could hear her tummy bubbling. When it first started, we were fortunate to have a ped appointment scheduled for the next day. Ped recommended Similac Isomil (soy formula). No problems ever since.

i switched from Similac Advanced to Similac Sensitive without asking my ped.
He continues to do well on similac sensitive.

Re: similac formula question
oh yeah. We switched our DD like 4 times until we found the one that worked best for us. After the first time we switched we went to a well check up like a week after and they were like you should have called- not to tell them, but bc they have free samples to try. So the NP hooked me up with tons of samples and different products to try. It was great!

Re: similac formula question
At about 1 month, DS was very gassy and fussy on a combo of Similac RTF and BM. We were going to change his formula (to a sensitive Similac) and start gas drops... nothing really made a difference. He just grew out of it.
