Since Cailen has decided AGAIN that he doesnt want to sleep...
at least maybe he can help me get to my goal of 10,000
As part of my campaign for mother of the year award, I park him in front of noggin on demand on the nights he refuses to sleep, and after a few hours, exhaustion kicks in and he eventually succombs to some semblance of sleep, as I just work on my goal towards 10,000 posts on here...

It is good to have goals Liza. Maybe I can watch Noggin too so I can fall asleep. DH went to bed a half hour ago and I cannot bring myself to go yet.

Aww, well I hope Cailen goes to sleep soon. vibes...Kara has been sleeping for a few hours now and DH has been in bed for awhile so what the heck is my excuse. I just want to get to 1000th.

Its funny, it gets to the point where he knows the drill... he cries for a while, I get him, he quietly lays in my arms, and I put him in the bouncy. He looks to the TV waiting for the magic to begin...
And he sits silently with half closed eyes looking at the screen. I feel awful, but if I interact with him at all, he thinks its time to play and he will be that much more awake!!!

If you leave him in his crib will he cry? Sometimes they are so over tired they fight going to sleep and you dont want to start a bad habit b/c you need your sleep too.

He NEVER ever cries himself to sleep. I have tried many times. What he does is he works himself up so badly, he is fully awake by the time I cave in (and I've really waited it out) yes, thats the problem - he gets so over tired, but fights it like you wouldnt believe... he has been fighting napping all day - its driving me insane, and its frustrating because he was doing so well... watching TV late with the lights off gets him in a sleepy mood where he doesnt think of fighting it, and eventually I can pick him up and get him back upstairs... This is the only thing that works...

Sorry Deb! Missed this - I think he finally fell asleep at 1, and slept until 4....
I dont understand whats happening - he was FINALLY sleeping thru the night
