Ok- so Im just going through all my documents and stuff- and noticed I havent been sent my meal vouchers- Do I receive them when I check in??

Which paperwork should I have received by now?

There are no actual paper vouchers. It's all electronically coded onto your room key and at each meal a receipt prints and tells you how many meal credits you have left. You should've just received a confirmation and your luggage tags.

This takes you to the park hours and show times

OK- I thought of yet ANOTHER questionChat Icon

We are flying southwest and my neighbors told me something about passnegers with children no longer be able to board first (supposedly its something new)...

Now Im getting a little freaked since southwest dosent have assigned seats- just A, B, C- and Im nervous my DH and myself (as well as DS who has his own seat) getting seperated...

So is checking in online my best bet? How early should I do this???

Or is check in irrelevant- is it all about the ABC boarding???

I'm not sure if you left yetChat Icon but you would want to try to check in online and get an "A" boarding pass that way you could board first. They used to let people traveling with children under a certain age pre-board but now they don't. If you do not have an "A" boarding pass and you are traveling with children you board in btwn "A" and "B"

For anyone who has been to Disney in the past few weeks-how was the weather? We are going Feb 9th and I'm not sure if I should be packing shorts or just capris or both?

Just came back- we had sun everyday but one (and that one day it was just a drizzle) It was also close to 80 and up the entire time I was there...

Re: Since there are so many of us going (or that just came from) Disney can we start a...

So I took pretty much every piece of advice this thread had to offer and every piece of info was used!!!

Although I did use the A&D ointment on my feet like Summerluvv suggested, I still ended up with painful blisters after my first day. We ended up running to Walgreen's and buying some special band aid blister pads- which helped alot- so if you see that it might be a good idea to pack them as well..

I did alot of Character dining- I took suggestions from mommies as well as non mommies and here is my 2 cents-

Chef Mickey (dinner)- Classic, the food is just OK- but the atmosphere is so much fun.

Crystal Palace- Winne the Pooh and friends- everything is real yummy, and - well... these are my favorite character so I dont have one complaintChat Icon

Tuscar House in Animal Kingdom (Breakfast)- Yum! Yum! Yum! This was probably the best buffet we had the entire week.... The Characters are great as well (safari Mickey and friends)

1900 Park Fair in Grand Floridian (dinner)- This was a Cinderella and friends dinner and overall I couldn't wait to get the h e ll outta there- the step sisters were obnoxious the step mother was trying to scare the children- DS was not amused! The food stunk- I wouldn't rec'd

Ohana Breakfast @ Polynesian- This was highly rec'd by so many and to be honest Im not sure why- to me it was no different than any other character dining. It wasnt bad at all- but from the reviews I read here I expected so much more. This is not a buffet- basically you dine family style with eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles- maybe my waitress just stunk- but they brought out a small amount of food- and it took forever to get more (it was all you can eat)
I would go back, because the food was good and the atmosphere was cute- but to me its nothing to write home about...

Play and Dine @ MGM (breakfast)- This was DS favorite- Little Einsteins, Jojo circus and goliath. It was a bit noisey here- but totally worth it.

Of course everything in Magic Kingdom is awesome- everything is a must see/do IMO (The parades are AWESOME and the "wishes" firework show was beyond AMAZING!!!

I also enjoyed the Illuminations show @ Epcot

and

the MGM "Lights, Motors, Actions"- was really cool! (of course the classic Beauty and the Beast Show and Fantasmic show should be on the priority list)

Ok- thats all for now... Ill add more as it comes to me!

Knew Id think of something else:

We stayed in one of the All Star Value resorts and I dont have 1 complaint however it was perfect for us, they way we are- had DS been a little older or had there been 2 or more DC we wouldve been real real cramped!

Ok, my friends question is, should your bring your own stroller or rent one?

Also, what time does the parade come down the street?

I would say - bring your own.
Disney has plastic ones - IMO not too comfortable.

And about the parade - each park or does she want to know a certain park?

bring a bathing suit
ponchos
some kind of water proof shoes like crocs or sport flip flops..it rains a LOT of FL, and there's nothing worse than waking around in cold, wet sneakers. ew.

Some hotels don't have hair conditioner, so you might want to bring that

For those that ship drinks, food ahead, does the air pressure make the drink boxes, etc explode?

I wanted to pack them and check them but I was afraid of the air pressure and then my clothes would get all wetChat Icon
