Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
Sasha has slept a grand total of 30 mins.
She WON'T go to sleep. I leave her in her crib to cry and cry-- and will not fall asleep.
COuld the little bit of formula she's had be doing this to her? SHe has had 5 oz total in the last 3 days. That's the only change.
She seems ok otherwise, only refuses to go to sleep.

I agree...there are times Dylan will only nap for like 20 min and then days like today when he has a 3 hour nap!!

Re: Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
Unfortunately Ryan has had his share of days like this.
I doubt it's the formula, though. I think you are trying to do CIO, right? Has it worked for the night time routine yet?
For us, I really focused on getting night time down first, then worried about naps.

Re: Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
Wow, I guess my DS is on the same schedule today. Just picked him up from the babysitter and she said he only slept for 1 hour ( 2 half hour naps) since she got him at 7 this morning. Hopefully this isn't a preview of what tonight will be like!

Re: Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
I am not sure if you have tried this (and you might have) but, when do you try to put her down for her first nap? It could be that you missing that window and she is overtired now. If she is overtired she won't sleep. My routine for my kids were always the same for the morning. Let's say the got up 6am. By 6:30 they were having a bottle/nursing, and then I put them down by 8:30/8:45. So basically their first nap was 2 hours from the time they woke up. This always worked for me for both kids. One was bottle fed the other BF. The naps varied in length from 45 minutes to 2 hours.

ITA with this. DD is awful if I miss the napping window.

Re: Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
Must be in the water today. 8 kids in my DDs daycare class and she is the only one that did not nap today. The teacher told me during the morning nap she was the only one wide awake
She is a GREAT sleeper.... but only at home.

Re: Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
Well, reading this makes me feel better, lol..my DD has major sleep issues...think it must be something developmental and teething, lol... My DD literally kicks, hangs upside down on me etc...it is crazy...i put her in the crib eventually because i literally take a beating , haha and she learned how to go from crawling to sitting up on her own, well, it is a new nightmare as she will just get up and play/sit up in the crib now... Naps are like 25 minutes long and she was up half the night last night....at this point, i am hoping she sleeps through the night before age 2

Re: Since waking up this morning at 7 AM...
DS is usually a great sleeper during the day and gave me issues today. He was not sleeping and nothing was working. I hope this is a one day event, and not a start of something.
