Sinus Ct Scan?
Has anyone ever had one?
I have to go for one..apparently my nose is completely closed and its whats causing my severe sinus headaches. I am really nervous about what they will find. But I have no idea what to expect with the test.
Do they still inject dye into you? Do you drink something? I have found one that has open ct scans because I am extremely claustrophobic so thats good. Just looking for any feedback. Thanks!

I had one about a year ago, outpatient at Stony Brook It was really easy and quick. My dr. ordered one without contrast, so no dye or anything. I was on a table with my head in the machine, which looked like a giant ring. All told it took maybe 10 minutes. MRIs are worse if you are claustrophobic- that is where you have to lie in the "tube" and they take much longer.

I agree with the poster above. I had a few for my sinus/nose issues and there was no contrast necessary.

Oh thank you so much!!! That makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! I was freaking out about it. Another dumb question but do you stay dressed for it or in a gown?

I wore my clothes. There wasn't any contrast. It was quick.
