sippy cup and where to drink it question
i know i have posted about this before but now that so my DS is doing great on the sippy cup, i have having a really hard time figuring out where to let him drink it. He gets it at 7:00 in the morning, 11ish, 3:30 and then around 6:30, i have been letting him drink it on my floor or in my lap and let him watch a little TV. I cant really do the highchair b/c he gets breakfast in it at 8:15 and lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 5:15, so I feel like he would be in it all the time.
Any advice would be welcomed as well as what you guys are doing. I know eventually I will get him to drink only 3 times a day and figure it will work out better when that happens

I've been giving it to Thomas in the high chair, and when we are out and about, in the carseat in the car. I've also moved the highchair into the family room in front of the TV.

Why not just let him have the sippy with his meals in the high chair? If I do give her a sippy between meals, it's still in the highchair. It only takes a few minutes to drink.

I guess I am doing something wrong then b/c I give DS (18 mos) the sippy cup whenever he is thirsty, and he drinks it anywhere we are. I give him milk in the morning, then apple juice with lunch, water for snacks, and more milk with dinner. He drinks in bed, in the high chair, in the playroom, in the stroller if we are out...etc.

Neither DC took to the sippy cups, but this is what we did for the straw cups. They always have them available. If they are thirsty, they drink. If they aren't thirsty, they don't drink. DS has a cup of water in his room overnight, but only because he's proven himself that he can get up and go to the bathroom if he needs to. DD doesn't get anything overnight.
