i just started giving it to him at 9 months. i know some give it earlier though - for some reason my ped said not till 9.

I started DD on the sippy at 6 months. At that point, she was just playing with it with a little water in it. I put it out daily. Then by 9 months, she was drinking from it (water only). !0 months I put milk in it and she got used to it. By 11 months, she was transitioned from the bottle to the sippy. No more bottles.

I started Michael on those whren he was 9 months old and he did not want anything to do with it at that time. I tried again with them once he turned 1 and he took to it ok but once I switched to the playtex onces it loved them.

We started practicing with water at 5 1/2 months but I am not consistant with it.  We are using the baby Einstein ones.
