sister taking baby to mommy and me classes
is this appropriate?
my sister will be our full-time babysitter when i return to work after 12 weeks. at 3 months, i would like her to stay home with him most of the time (as it will be winter and cold) but as he gets older i thought it would be nice if she could get him involved with some mommy and me classes. is that weird(because she's not the "mommy")?

I think thats fine. Sometimes you even see nannys there, so a Aunt is perfectly fine!

I think that is great - it'll get both of them out and maybe if your sis hits it off with another woman in the class it could turn into playdate and a nice social setting for the little man :)
You can always send him to Lori's School of Etiquette......my children can teach him how to climb, eat with his fingers, ride the dog and numerous other talents.

I think it will not only be good for your sister to get out of the house but also the baby. They will both start to get bored and the walls will start to close in if they are housebound for too long.

If you have a good relationship (which I assume you do if your sister is watching the babe FT), I see nothing wrong with it.

It's totally fine, there are lots of caregivers at those programs. We took music class over the summer and half of the kids were there with babysitters and some people even brought other family members too.

oh, we definitely do - i don't have a problem with it at all, and normally i don't care one bit about what other people think, but i thought i'd see if anyone else thought it was weird.
